Before you can obtain your CT Boating Certificate, you
must get a (free) Ct Conservation ID. This number is used to track all
your CT recreation licensing including fishing and hunting. When you attend
the Americas Boating Course with the intention of getting your CT Boating
Certificate, you MUST get a Conservation ID beforehand and bring the number
to the class. If you have a fishing or hunting license, you already have a
Conservation ID. To get a new ID or to find out what your existing ID number is, click this link and follow the instructions. |

Schedule Americas Boating Course Held at Southington High School - Starting Jan 08, 2013. Class meets one night a week [Tues] for seven weeks. 7pm-9pm Weather Class Held at Quinnipiac River Watershed Building, 540 Oregon Rd Meriden, CT. 26 March 2013 Classes begin – (10) Tuesdays at 1900. Cost of the course is $55 |

America's Boating Course
- in the classroom Connecticut Power Squadrons official State Boating Course Completion of this class will satisfy the Connecticut Boating Class requirements for applying for a Connecticut Boating Certificate. Get your State Boating Certificate with the Best Course. Registration is the first night of class and the cost for the 5 week course (boat handling under normal and adverse conditions, navigational aids, rules, knots and lines used and more) is $45.00 and $55.00 for the 7 week course, (additional 2 weeks cover how to read a chart, plot courses and identify your position on the water), plus a school administration fee. Boating on Connecticut's waters may seem easy with the
modern technology of radar and GPS, but what happens if these electronics
fail? Could you navigate safely in the fog without these?
Meriden Power Squadron presents educational courses, programs and seminars that offer boating enthusiasts greater safety and enjoyment while participating in their favorite boating activities. There are eleven primary courses that cover seamanship, piloting, electronic navigation, celestial navigation, weather, engine maintenence, marine electronics and cruise planning. All upcoming courses will be listed on this page. In addition, there are also USPS guides and seminars available to all.
