From the desk of The Commander: To all those
who have recently joined the Middletown Power Squadron
or who are even considering affiliating with
us----Welcome aboard! In the more than seventy five
years since its founding the Middletown Power Squadron
has been a significant leader in the community of
recreational boaters in the central Connecticut area,
the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound. Our
Educational and Safety programs are recognized as the
definitive learning forums for all those who enjoy the
thrills and pleasures of boating whether it's for
fishing, paddling, rowing, canoeing, sailing, water
skiing or the tranquility of a "cottage on the water."
The important thing is that in these endeavors, the
safety and comfort of our fellow boaters,
our families and our friends is paramount. And
this is best accomplished by knowledgeable and
conscientious application and use of our vessels and
their equipments. These are the principles taught in our
Public Boating Course and enhanced in all the advanced
courses. So welcome
