COMMANDER'S WELCOME MESSAGE
Welcome to the Website of the Middletown Power Squadron
The Middletown Power Squadron is located in the
Middletown /Portland area in central Connecticut with
the Connecticut River as the primary body of water
within the area we serve. Boating activities
surround us. There are many fresh water lakes in
addition to the Connecticut River that is approximately
thirty miles from Long Island Sound offering many forms
of recreational boating. Paddle craft, sailing vessels
and motorized vessels create healthy outdoor activities
for out-of-doors people of many ages. The Middletown
squadron supports boating safety through education for
all vessels. Our goal is to promote safe boating
while keeping with the USPS mission statement "To
promote recreational boating safety through education
and civic activities while providing fellowship for our
members."
The
United States Power Squadron is a non-profit,
non-military, and non-governmental organization that
includes men, woman, and families who have a passion for
boating.
