The Rappahannock Power & Sail Squadron, RPSS, is a local unit of the United States Power Squadron® , situated within District 5 of the USPS®. The area our unit serves is bounded on the south by the York River, on the North by the Potomac River and on the west by a line passing through West Point. The major objective of this non-profit boating safety organization began, and remains, the education of those interested in safe boating practices.

RPSS offers an array of boating courses designed to not only improve safety but also to enhance the pleasure of boating by increasing boaters knowledge. The educational opportunities and the social interactions attract people that have widely differing backgrounds but that all have a keen interest in boating.
