Guidelines for Member Ads

Members of New Haven Power Squadron are allowed to submit advertisements to be posted on the New Haven Power Squadron For Sale web page as web space and webmaster time permit. Ads will not be classified, but will be recorded as received. I.e., the most recent ads will appear at the top of the page, older ads farther down.

Text for our ads is limited to 75 words or less. After all, you don't need to detail every little feature, do you? The idea is to get people interested and excited enough to give you a call or send you an email. We reserve the right to edit your ad copy to clarify, simplify, or shorten things a bit.

We follow a "definition list" format for our ads. A short phrase identifying your item/s, followed by a short paragraph further describing the item/s. Price comes at the end of the description, followed by your name, phone number, and email address. We really need these last three bits of info with every ad; if you don't have an email address, we can omit that, but many items that sell do so because of the ability for a potential buyer to email the seller for more info.

Email addresses will be "masked" in an effort to reduce spam harvesting, but will be provided as active links for the convenience of potential customers, unless you request otherwise.
