Membership is by application and is for anyone who shares our common love of boating, has passed one of our public boating courses, either the Squadron Boating Course or Boat Smart™ (or equivalent*), and who is interested in advancing the objectives of the organization: the education of members, participation in civic programs, and the creation of an atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie among members.
Active members must be at least 18 years of age; there are no age considerations for family members.
Sea Scouts are able to take USPS boating and navigation courses and join USPS as apprentice members. (Sea Scouts are a division of the Venturing Program of the Boy Scouts of America. The program is open to both young men and woman, between the ages of 14 and 20.)
When you complete our Squadron Boating Course successfully, an application to join us will be provided.
We also welcome past or current members of other squadrons of USPS or Canadian Power Squadrons.
