The Squadron Boating Course
The Squadron Boating Course is designed to be useful to all boaters, from the fisherman in an outboard to the skipper of a large cruiser or sailboat. All boaters are subject to nautical rules and regulations. Skippers should learn and respect traditional boating courtesies. The courses are meant to be of interest to the entire family; older children are welcome. We encourage your family to attend as a group. The Squadron Boating Course contains sixteen sections, taught usually over the course of five weekly meetings. There are homework questions at the end of each section to assist retention of the information presented. New Haven Power Squadron offers The Squadron Boating Course at East Haven High School in East Haven, on Monday evenings at 1900 (7:00pm). See our calendar for the next starting date. Contact our public contact person for further information. If our location and/or dates are not convenient to you, please check the USPS Course Locator. The United States Power Squadrons® offer an on-line interactive National Safe Boating Test Mini-Quiz. Try it, then contact our public contact person to reserve your seat in our boating course. |
