Course Description:
The Vessel Safety Check Program (VSC) helps to achieve voluntary compliance with federal and state recreational boating safety laws, particularly regarding the carriage of safety equipment, personal floatation devices (PFD's), Fire extinguishers, ventilation systems, backfire flame controls, sound producing devices, navigation rules, FCC requirements, pollution regulations, discharge of oil, garbage discharge, and marine sanitation devices. Improve the demonstrated knowledge, shills, abilities and behaviors of boaters. Become a Qualified Vessel Examiner an educate boaters through direct, face-to-face boating safety information exchanges.
