Boating Courses

Two of the three principles upon which the United States Power Squadrons® and the Newport Sail and Power Squadron
were founded are Civic Service and Self Education. The Newport Power Squadron fulfills the first principle, in part,
by teaching several public boating courses each year.

The America's Boating Course ®

Boat handling under normal conditions
Adverse conditions and emergencies
Types of boats and boating terminology
Required and recommended equipment

Watch our First Page and our Coming Events Page to see when our public boating courses are scheduled.
Also check the District 14 website to see when public boating courses are scheduled at nearby locations
