The Ocala Power Squadron is one of 450 squadrons which make up the United States Power Squadrons®, the world's largest, family oriented, non-profit, recreational boating organization. The Ocala Power Squadron, located in Ocala, Florida, is also one of the eleven regional squadrons in District 23, and has a current membership of 75 enthusiastic recreational boaters. The United States Power Squadrons® and the Ocala Power Squadron are dedicated to safe boating through education. In that regard, the Ocala Power Squadron offers courtesy vessel safety checks and a safe boating course, the Boat Smart® Course, to the public. The Boat Smart® safe boating course meets all certification requirements of all fifty states of the United States, and the Ocala Power Squadron has graduated over12,000 safe boaters from this course in Marion County, Florida.
