How to Join Us

Active membership is open to:
  • Anyone 16 years and over who is able and willing to contribute time, energy, and skills to our Squadron objectives ;
  • A Family membership is available to spouse and children (to age 25) living in the same household as an active member;
  • As a current member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary or the Canadian Power Squadron, you have already completed a qualifying course and no exam is required;
  • Individuals less than age 18, not qualified in the above, may join as an apprentice.

    • And, who has completed any of the following:

  • USPS® Public Boating or Boat Smart Course examination;
  • CPS (Canadian Sail and Power Squadrons) Boating Course examination;
  • USCGAux Boating Skills and Seamanship or Sailing and Seamanship examination.
    Notable Note: If you have taken the home study or video version of the USPS® course, but have not yet taken the proctered examination, arrangements can be made for it with our Squadron.

    • Finally:
    A Membership Application must be submitted to an OKCSPS Officer. Upon (Executive Committee) acceptance and payment of dues, a (now) member may then pursue the benefits of "Active" Membership in the Oklahoma City Sail and Power Squadron
