An avid sailor who enjoys learning all he can, Ron joined the power squadron to gather with others who held the same passion for boating. Ron enjoy sail racing and he can be seen most Wednesday evening racing the LI Sound.
As part of the United States Power Squadrons, Oyster Bay is proud to part of this educational team for over 35 years. From Brooklyn to Montauk, we are 3,000 members strong who enjoy learning and teach others about safe boating. The Oyster Bay Power Squadron has provided the community with important boating information and community service through out our years. I invite you to come to a General Meeting, or call, to learn how you can have fun on the water with the OBPS.
Steve joined the OBPS just a short time ago and was eager to be part of the team. With a new boat, cruising the south shore has been a wonderful experience for Steve and his wife, Alice.
Donald loves to sail in the afternoons and enjoys watching the sunset on the north shore of Long Island. Donald has been an active member of community but still has time for boat safety classes. Donald teaches Sail 1 & 2 and hopes that his students will join him on the water.
Jennifer has been sailing for many years with her husband Ron. An expert navigator, any squadron member feel comfortable coming to Jenny for GPS advice. Jenny and Ron travel to Greenport and then on to Martha’s Vinegar each summer and never tire of the journey.
Both a sailor and a power boater, Rose takes great pleasure in quite evenings on the water with her husband. Rose and Rich have traveled extensively and enjoy the adventure of cruising around the New York area. They plan, this summer to cruise the Hudson and the Connecticut River with other Power Squadron members.
