Prerequisites ( Public Boating Course Completion & Member of the Squadron )
NOTE: Members will NOT be called for enrollment. It is up to each person to take the initiative
for signing up. Apply early, as student manuals must be ordered. Please contact the Squadron or
the appropriate instructor. 


The Seamanship (S) Course
is your introduction to USPS®  education in
 on-the-water safety. Consisting of two modules, S 101 (Seamanship) &
 S102 (Boat Handling) are required to earn the grade of Seaman.


 News - The New 6 week course is in.

 Seamanship 2007 - Building on the basics of recreational boating presented in the public boating courses, Seamanship adds foundational information for continuing boater education. The course contents should facilitate knowledge development for increased safe operation of recreational boats and provides the basis for completion of USCG licensing examination. Emphasis within the course has been placed on higher level boating skills, rules of the road, and marlinspike.
