Vessel Safety Inspection Program

Potomac River Power Squadron  conducts Vessel Safety Examinations as a public service.  Our inspectors will  examine your boat for compliance with U.S. Coast Guard rules.  During these voluntary vessel examinations you will be advised of the laws which apply to your boat.  If you boat meets the USCG standards, you will be awarded a decal like the one shown above. If your boat does not meet the standards, you will be advised of the requirements which will bring your boat to the USCG standards and arrangements will be made for a re-inspection.  We do not advise any law enforcement agency of any problems discovered.

For arrangements to have your boat inspected,

call P/C Harry Seeback, SN at (301)530-4633 or

send an e-mail to Cleveland Leggett
