VSC-VESSEL SAFETY CHECK
The Vessel Safety Check program is a joint safety project between the United States Power Squadrons and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. The purpose of this program is to provide a FREE courtesy inspection to any boater who wants to ensure that their vessel is equipped with the necessary equipment to meet minimal Federal, State and Local safety requirements and that it is in working order.
Boat owners are encouraged to take advantage of this program to have their vessels inspected by a "certified VSC examiner". Following completion of the inspection, your inspector will review with you the results and provide you with a written report listing the items you are missing or may need to upgrade as well as discussing optional equipment you might want to consider having onboard. Upon passing this multi-point inspection, you will be issued a sticker to place on your boat showing that at the time of the inspection, you had onboard the required safety equipment.
To receive your free "VSC" you are encouraged to contact one of Rochester Power Squadron's "certified VSC examiners" listed below.
