1995 - COMMANDER'S MESSAGE
H. CLAY HELM, AP
It is an honor to accept command of the Rocky Mount Power Squadron for the year 1995-1996.
|
Education is one of the most basic reasons why boaters join the Power Squadron. A new member's first involvement is with the Public Boating Course.
When they join our squadron, they are looking for fellowship and the great education courses of the Power Squadron. We must present as many courses as possible to keep our member active and involved. New members and old members learn more than just the subject during class, they also learn about the other members of the class. Lasting friendships come from the bonds of trying to plot a DR course in Piloting.
The theme of this year is INVOLVEMENT. Our goal is to get as many members involved in the activities and workings of the squadron as possible. We will be looking for new faces to start participating in activities that they were not in last year. Let's all get together, learn something new, and have fun this year.
