1998 - COMMANDER'S MESSAGE

It has been a pleasure to have been a member of the Rocky Mount Power Squadron for the past ten years. Although we have seen a lot of members come and go in that time, we have a solid core of members that have really come out in the last three years to make this organization work toward achieving our mission.

We have made great strides in the Boating Course by getting more
members involved. Our Spring Boating Course had 42 students register and 41 pass the exam! 'That has to be a record for retention and it says a lot about the members involved in the weekly presentation of materials. Hopefully, the Fall Course will be an even greater success with your help.
I would be amiss if I did not thank the spouses that do so much to help the squadron in its activities and the non-active members who continually support RMPS each year with their
financial support.
