Public Boating Safety Course

boating funThis unique study program covers the fundamental of boating. It is designed for skippers and crew of all types of watercraft. Topics covered will include:

- General information about boats and maintenance
- How to make your boating experience safer and more comfortable
- Tips on being a more courteous boat operator
- Laws and regulations to which boaters must adhere

USPS Member Courses
One of the main goals of USPS is boating safety through education. We believe that an educated boater is a safer boater. In addition to its public education program, USPS teaches a series of outstanding members courses that cover advanced seamanship, navigational techniques, and boat handling, maintenance, and enhancement topics. Learn how to become a member of USPS and take any or all of these courses.
USPS University Seminars

USPS University is here with new programs targeted to a range of boaters and types of boating. The hallmark of this concept is the Seminar Series. These short seminars are targeted to specific topics and needs with a two-hour format, and valuable take-away guides. Each seminar provides credits toward the soon to be released Boat Operator Certification program, and credit toward elective courses.

Seminars are available to Members and non-members

For additional information or to sign up for classes, contact SEO Mike Westrick at 440-347-0990 or Jack Hauck at 440-242-7765
