The Sable Point Squadron will offers safe boating classes at the Harbor View Marina in Ludington, Michigan. Class participants will discuss basic boat terms, hull and boat types, anchoring techniques, rules of the road, navigational aids, what is required, trailer boating, water safety and much more. The boating course is open to adults as well as youngsters of 12 years of age or older. Instruction is provided by certified instructors meeting the requirements of the National Recreational Boating Safety Program. Graduates of the boating safety course will receive a certificate of completion. The only cost of the boating safety course is $45 for the Americas Boating Course 3rd edition© student manual at the door. Pre-registration will allow advance purchasing of the manual for $40.
