Cruise & Rendezvous

"C&R's" are how you have fun in the SCSPS - trips to nearby destinations by boat (usually also accessible by car) for lunch or even overnight cruises. You don't need a boat to participate - the C&R leader can usually find you a spot on a member's boat. Check out the Soundings for upcoming C&R's.

Vessel Safety Checks

The VSC Program helps to achieve voluntary compliance with federal and state recreational boating safety laws, particularly with regard to the carriage of safety equipment while raising boater awareness about safety and environmental issues through voluntary contact by a Vessel Examiner (VE)

Find a charting error? You can help your fellow boaters by participating in Cooperative Charting, a joint program of NOAA and the USPS. An explanation of the program can be found here.

SERAT

The Squadron Emergency Response Assistance Team is a sanctioned arm of the local Power Squadron whose mission is to render volunteer assistance to local fire departments, law enforcement and other agencies in the event of a water related emergency.
