Cooperative Charting is a program that allows the Squadrons to assist the Marine Chart Division, National Ocean Service, National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration of the U.S. Dept. of Commerce by providing information that is used to correct nautical charts, Coast Pilot publications and aeronautical charts. This service is extremely valuable to the Marine Chart Division and saves them thousands of dollars every year. The San Antonio Sail and Power Squadron is a recognized leader in this area and also participates in the Adopt-A-Chart subprogram by closely monitoring and reporting on chart number 11314.
