Spokane Sail & Power Squadron is an active participant in the annual Spokane National Boat Show sponsored by the Spokane Yacht Club. Spokane Sail & Power Squadron promotes boating safety and boating safety education at the Show through its exhibit booth and by offering America’s Boating Course classes and seminars during the boat show at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center.
To help promote the safe boating theme and Spokane Sail & Power Squadron's America’s Boating Course in particular, the host Spokane Yacht Club gives free admission to the Boat Show for its entire eight-day run for anyone who signs up to take the America’s Boating Course class. When a person pays for the course, they get a special name badge issued by the Squadron that gets them into the boat show. This has proven to be a major help in promoting the America’s Boating Course classes.
On display at the open-layout Squadron booth are copies of all of the Advanced Boating Education courses offered by Spokane Sail & Power Squadron.
