We have made major additions - through generous contributions from several members, past members, and friends. We now have almost 440 different titles in the library, divided into six categories. The main section, of course, continues to be our collection of over 280 "Books - fiction, non-fiction, reference, and everything in-between." We now also have sub-collections of: "USPS Courses, Learning Guides, and Seminars"; "CPS Courses & Supplemental Programs"; "Pamphlets & Brochures"; "Electronic Media - CD's & DVD's"; and, "Electronic Media - VHS Tapes."
As always, the Dennis Schwalm Memorial Library is FREE to all members, past members, and friends. It operates on the Honor System - If there is something you want to check out to read or use on your computer, all you have to do is fill out a small file card with your name, phone number, the title of the item you are borrowing, and the date you borrow it. Just drop the card in the library file box - and Enjoy! When you are done, bring the item back and remove the card from the box. It's that simple.
The library is open and available during any meeting or class at the clubhouse plus most weekdays from approx. 11:00am to 5:00pm (anytime someone is at the Squadron office at 929 W. Jackson Ave.). If you're coming on a weekday, it is suggested that you phone first to be sure someone is/will be there when you plan on arriving - call 328-6165 or 252-0477.
