are boaters committed to "safe boating through
education." As a group of people who enjoy boating, together we make
the Syracuse Sail & Power Squadron. Our membership meetings, which are open
to all interested parties are held in Syracuse, NY. Our members come from not
only Syracuse, but all of Central New York including boaters who frequent the
waters of Cross Lake, the Finger Lakes, The Erie Canal, Lake Ontario, The St.
Lawrence River, Oneida Lake, and much more.
The Syracuse Sail and Power Squadron includes volunteer men, women and
children dedicated to promoting safe boating through education, community
service and social activities. We offer boating instruction to the public and
advanced courses to our members. We have fun at our meetings and the events
we partake in, and lets not forget our time on the water. The boating season
in Upstate New York is short. Gathering with fellow boaters during the "off"
season affords one the opportunity to count down the days until the ice is
gone with your fellow boaters.
