The Commander's Welcome

Cdr. Ann Henderson, P

Welcome to the Two River Sail and Power Squadron's Home page!

The Two River Sail and Power Squadron celebrated its 50th anniversary of public service in 2008. Each year we look forward to continuing our tradition of education, fraternity, and civic service. The primary mission of the Two River Sail and Power Squadron and the USPS® is to promote boating safety. We accomplish this through both formal and informal training, cruises, vessel safety checks and social events. For more about the Vessel Safety Check Click Here.

Our membership is comprised of both power and sail boaters, along with people who just like boating. Our membership covers Pools 14 & 13 of Upper Mississippi River and the Rock River. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Two River Sail and Power Squadron may sign up for our basic boating class or equivalent. Membership is by application and is offered to our friends and acquaintances who share a common love of boating and who are interested in advancing the objectives of our organization.

Benefits of Membership:
  • A great variety of courses to choose from: As a USPS member, you and your family can enroll in a great variety of advanced grades and elective courses which are only available to USPS members.
  • Meeting with other boaters: As a member you will join with other knowledgeable boaters who are familiar with the local waters, the best anchorages, marinas and boat repair shops.
  • Participation in a variety of on water activities: As a USPS member you're automatically invited to join in the squadron and district cruises, rendezvous and other on-water activities.
  • Savings on Boat Insurance: There are many marine insurance companies which provide discounts to those who complete advanced boating courses. This savings can be significant.
