Welcome! We are Savannah’s Boating Club of the United States Power Squadrons® , the largest boating organization in the US. We are a volunteer organization to promote skillful boating fun through public and member education.

Our members are both sailors and power boaters, from people yet to own their first boat, to trailerable sizes, to long distance cruisers and liveaboards. Meetings and classes are usually in the Savannah area.

Classes: We offer introductory boating classes to new boaters throughout the year. Everyone is welcome including youngsters.

The introductory class may be all you need for now, but for many it stimulates a desire to learn more. Or perhaps you are buying a larger boat. Your next step is to become a member which qualifies you for our Advanced Classes.

Text Box: Up Coming Events Our 24 February meeting will be held at Carey Hilliard’s Restaurant on Abercorn. We have invited our friends from Savannah’s US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla to join us, and our program will be an update on Flotilla activities and opportunities for collaboration. There will be more about that in the next Beacon. America’s Boating Course - Spring Session – Starts Thursday, 15 March (6:30-9:30PM) for 4 weekly sessions. 2011 Teacher of the Year P/C Dave Sapp will again be our instructor. Contact your friends and encourage them to take this class. Cost: $60; $30 for additional family sharing the text; free to youth ages 11-17 attending with a family member. Our ABC Summer Session starts Tuesday, 12 June (6:30-9:30PM).
