Who we are... and where.

The Wawenock Sail & Power Squadron (WSPS) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to safe boating & boating education. Our members share a common interest in boating of all types. We are a unit of the United States Power Squadrons® (USPS), a national organization, and part of District 19 of the USPS. The Wawenock Squadron was chartered in 1959 and serves the Maine coastal region between Casco Bay and Muscongus Bay, extending from Brunswick to Waldoboro.

Membership in the Wawenock Sail & Power Squadron is open to anyone over 18 who shares our common interest in boating, and who is able and willing to contribute time, energy, and skills to the objectives of the Wawenock Squadron and the USPS. Those objectives are the education of both the boating public and our membership, the development of boating skills and boating safety, providing community service, and creating an atmosphere of camaraderie among members.
