Serendipity's Southern Chili Con Carne

(Easy on the tummy)

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef

1 onion, chopped

2 tsp. oil - Olive or Canola

1 tsp. chili powder

1 cup tomatoes

½ tsp. paprika

½ tsp. salt

 

 

1 cup water

1 can chili beans

1 tbsp. flour

1 spear celery, diced

¼ green pepper, chopped

1 tsp. ground red pepper

garlic to taste

1.  Saute onions, green peppers and celery.

2.  Add liquids and beans.

3.  Add spices.

4.  Separately saute ground meat, add to mixture.

5.  Simmer for a few hours.

6.  Serve with crackers and grated cheddar cheese.
