AIDS TO NAVIGATION INSPECTIONS

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) requires that when reporting a USACE aids to navigation (ATONs) inspection, include all ATONs inspected, not just those that have problems. This is done by entering the time and miles expended along with a chart identifying the area inspected. Also in the description box enter the number of USACE ATONs found to be as charted. These may be found on the Light List for the area being cruised.

A CoCh cruise that finds no items to be reported may enter the Time and Miles expended along with a chart section uploaded identifying the area inspected.

Log on CCWEB at https://www.ccweb.noaa.gov/ccweb/ and complete the on-line report as an Investigation item. Attach the scanned chart section of the area inspected. Check all information and promptly submit your report.
