GOLDEN EAGLE AWARD:
Annually, the National Cooperative Charting Committee presents the national GOLDEN EAGLE award to the district Cooperative Charting chairman who has best prepared his district during the year for current and future excellence in Cooperative Charting. Recipients of this Award

NOS AWARDS:
NOS presents the following six annual awards for excellence in Cooperative Charting which are awarded at a national meeting. In addition, NOS presents 75 4-inch diameter, 6-color embroidered patches depicting the Cooperative Charting logo, and honor roll certificate awards to districts, squadrons and members who have achieved national honor roll status. These are awarded at district conferences.

#1 INDIVIDUAL - awarded to the individual with the "greatest % of excess over required credits for the current year ending April 1". The award consists of a plaque.

#1 DISTRICT - awarded to the District with the "greatest % of excess over required credits for the current year ending April 1". The award consists of a plaque.

#1 SQUADRON - awarded to the Squadron with the "greatest % of excess over required credits for the current year ending April 1". The award consists of a plaque.

#1 INDIVIDUAL: NAUTICAL - awarded to the individual with the greatest number of credits in the Nautical portion of the Program. The award consists of a plaque.

THE COAST SURVEY AWARD - which is awarded to the individual with the greatest 5-year average of "% of excess over required credits". The award consists of plaque, a jacket with the COCH patch, and a working field trip with a NOAA field party (often on a ship).

TOP 75 INDIVIDUALS ON THE HONOR ROLL - Awarded a 4-inch, 6-color embroidered cloth patch depicting the Cooperative Charting logo. Anyone who has previously received a patch will receive a "Sustained Achievement" award in the form of an embroidered star on a circular sector. Ten such sectors will completely encircle the patch.

HONOR ROLL CERTIFICATES - Awarded to all districts, squadrons, and individuals who meet the honor roll credit and participation requirements.

CREDITS:
National awards are made on the basis of credits earned during the current Cooperative Charting year. Each report submitted during the year earns a number of credits determined by a long established credit system. Up-to-date credit standings are available in the "District / Squadron / Individual Report" published and distributed by NOS to district chairmen periodically during the year, and in final form shortly after the year ends on March 31.
