| Automating Range Data Input |
- Open G7toWin, connect your GPS and download the waypoints from your survey.
- Save your data as a .csv file.
- Open that file in Excel. Your Lat & Long will be in columns D & E starting at row 5. They will be in dd.dddd format which is what is required for a range report.
- Insert two columns to the right of column E (They will be F & G)
- Type the name of the range in cell F5 and copy it to the other cells in column F, editing it if necessary if you did more than one range.
- In cell G5, type the following:
=D5&”|”&E5&”|”&F5
Where | is the pipe mark, usually found just below the Backspace key.
- Copy cell G5 to the other cells in column G.
- Highlight the cells in column G that have data in them.
- Press Edit/Copy then Edit/Paste Special/Values/OK.
- Cut and paste the values now in column G into Note Pad and save as a .txt file (one range per file)
- Upload the files into CCWeb.

| Editor's Note: G7toWin is freeware and may be found by an internet search. It is easy to find, easy to install and easy to use. If your GPS came with a computer cable, just plug it in and G7toWin will find it.
