Classification of ReportsEffective May 26, 20112. When multiple Squadrons observers are listed they must all be from a Coastal Squadron. Inland Squadron Report 1. The report must list a NOAA chart, USACOE chart, or other Agency chart. 2. All observers are from the same Inland Squadron. 3. When multiple Squadrons observers are listed they must all be from an Inland Squadron. 4. If the report is on a NOAA chart the report must contain information that could have ONLY been obtained by visiting the area of the chart. For example. If the information is a spelling revision or text revision that could have been found on-line or by other sources without physically going to the charted area then the report must be classified as coming from a Coastal Squadron 5. If the report is on an USACOE or other Agency chart the only report that can be filled within the Co-op Charting program is an Inspection report. In these cases the observers are not provided the access to the other credits allowed within the program therefore the report shall be classified as coming from an Inland Squadron and the additional credits would apply. Joint Coastal and Inland Squadron Report 1. The majority of the observer’s Squadron shall control the classification of the report. 2. If the majority of the observers are from a Coastal Squadron then the report shall be classified as coming from a Coastal Squadron. 3. If the majority of the observers are from an Inland Squadron then the report shall be classified as coming from an Inland Squadron. 4. In the event the number of observers is equally divided between Coastal and Inland Squadrons then the report shall be classified as coming from an Inland Squadron. |
