The USPS Nautical Glossary is a short booklet that provides definitions of terms used in USPS courses and related topics. The USPS Boat Insurance Learning Guide tells you what you need to know when you shop for boat insurance. Either may be used in a course or in a training program, or simply as another source of information on a given topic.
USPS Learning Guides are available to members and the public at various marine supply stores, and also directly from United States Power Squadrons Headquarters by calling 1-888-FOR-USPS between 8:30AM and 4:00PM ET Monday through Friday. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted. These guides are also available to USPS members at reduced rates through their Squadron Educational Officer. An updated Glossary is also available online. Click here to access the interactive Glossary.
PubCom does the publishing of Educational Department materials in accordance with the process shown in this PowerPoint presentation (896KB, PPT). Educational Department committees should use this process to get materials published in a timely and complete manner.
PubCom has been tasked to look at potential new names for USPS courses and seminars. A working draft of some potential new and old names is in this PowerPoint document (402KB, PPT).
