Joining FinCom
Qualifications
Members wishing to be considered for the Finance Committee need to submit a resume to ComNom. Interviews are conducted by members of FinCom if it appears that the individual has the appropriate background and skills.
Since FinCom is entrusted with the investment of squadron funds, it is important that the members have a background in various areas of finance, such as:
Financial analysis, economic forecasting, financial accounting, entrepreneurial activity (business owner), fixed income investing, stocks, bonds and mutual funds selection, financial accounting, corporate finance, and banking. Registered representatives, traders, Chartered Financial analysts, portfolio managers, and financial consultants are primary candidates for the committee.
