Using META Tags


Sites include Meta Tags to enable search engines to categorize the site better. The use of "keywords" allows search engine the indexes they need to categorize the site. The "description" is usually a short abstract or introduction to be displayed when a web surfer looks for your keywords.

These tags allow better indexing by robot-driven search engines, such as AltaVista, Infoseek and searchBC, and now includes some DC.lite elements.
