How to -
Change Contact Information
Since the implementation of the Cyber Space Squadron as well as the Become a Member it has become very important that all squadrons have their contact information correct.
Below are the two ways for squadrons to change contact information. Note: For both options you will need the squadron update password.
1. Using the Member Stuff from the Main Page of the USPS website (www.usps.org);
- You need to have the squadron name or account #, and the squadron's update password.
- Scroll down from Member Stuff to Information Center.
- On the left side of the screen under Organizational Information, choose By Squadron/District.
- Enter your squadron name or account number.
- Scroll down and enter the squadron's update password near the end of the page and click on display at the bottom of the screen.
- The resulting screen that comes has Click Here under each area that can be changed. When you click here, a screen appears asking for the new Certificate Number and assignment year for a specific job; enter this new information.
- If the HQ machine is up and running, the changes should be made within 10 minutes.
2. Using DB2000. The instructions are as follows:
- You must have the squadron update password for your squadron entered into Settings/ User Authorization screen in DB2000. Don't forget you must also have the box that says "Check if you have updater rights" checked .
- Select Forms from the main screen of DB2000 then OD-2.
- (For more detailed information you can use the Help file search on OD-2 form.)
- Correct the needed fields on the Form OD-2.
- Export the updated Form OD-2 to National and
- National will update the OD-2 contact information that night.
- No matter which method you use, make sure you check that the initial information has changed.
