Do we swear in Family Members? Yes we can.

Family Members can serve as appointed members of department committees.
Does a candidate for Family or Family Jr. Membership need to first pass an approved course? NO - See Bylaws Section 3, Section 3.7 through 3.7.6.
Can a Family Member earn a Merit Mark? Yes, the Chief Commander can approve a "Family Merit Mark" to candidates recommended by the Squadron Commander. This new policy was voted and passed during the Fall Governing Board in Baltimore, MD..
How do Family Members display their merit marks? Merit Mark Tabs are available for purchase from the Ship's Store. This tab is worn with the member pin and is worn with non-uniform attire, mufti, and casual clothing.
Can Family Members vote. NO, they can NOT vote at meetings therefore can NOT hold any elected position in the organization, national, district, or squadron.
Effective 19 May 01, by vote of the Governing Board, age for joining USPS as an Active or Additional Active Member is 18 years old. This change in policy will not effect the current status of those under 18 joining before 19 May 01..
Additional Active Members MUST belong to the same squadron as the Active Member.
