As you probably already know, the Operations Manual is the compendium of all information concerning the United States Power Squadrons. The Operations Manual Committee makes every effort to keep it current. As such, it the model for almost everything that happens in our organization. There is also a program called Operations Training sponsored by the Leadership Development Committee that teaches a synoptic summary of the Operations Manual. If you want more information on the Leadership Development Committee and the Operations Training Program … Click Here.

The 2010 release of the Operations, Membership, Secretary's, Treasurer's and Squadron Development manuals are published and on-line. Please note this release contains major updates and supersede all previous versions.

Every effort has been made to make this release as accurate and current as possible. Due to the bylaw changes as approved in Kansas City essentially eliminating the Operating Committee, each manual had to be reviewed and edited. There were several chapters that required extensive rework in this effort. Several minor changes were made throughout and reviewed by all concerned. Should you find any inconsistencies, please email the committee and let us work to resolve them.

In this release, every chapter except 0 through 7 was renumbered. While this may require some rework on your part, the Committee believes it will alleviate much effort in the future when we add and/or update future chapters. New in this release is the Squadron Development Manual both as Chapter 24 in the Operations Manual and as a stand-alone document.

Any of the manuals we maintain may be separately downloaded as needed. In the Operations Manual, please note that Chapters 21 through 24 are also published as stand-alone manuals with a cover, table of contents, index and the like. Since this is a major release of each manual, all change bars have been removed from each document.

PLEASE CONSULT the What's Changed document during the year for a detailed listing of all changes to the manual.
