Downloadable Leadership Development Program

Leadership Development Program can be presented in about 2.5 

            hours. LDP consists of three parts:

            Leadership – workable tools for a practical approach to leadership

Communication – skills that a leader can use to communicate effectively;

Motivation – how a leader can affect motivation directly.

All members of your bridge should have completed LDP. In addition this course offers valuable tools for any member of your squadron as the concepts presented apply not only to the Power Squadron but to any leadership situation. We all are in leadership roles whether it is at work, at home, or in a volunteer organization.

The Leadership Development Committee developed the PowerPoint presentation to be used in conjunction with the Leadership Development Program student guide that you can print from the Word file or order from USPS Head Quarters.

Complete presenter’s notes are included in the PowerPoint presentation and can be printed out by printing the Notes Pages. (See instructions on Printing Notes Pages file).

Members who complete this program receive a Certificate of Completion. To request these certificates, download and fill out a “Request for Leadership Development Program Certificate of Completion” Form OT-3 (March 2009).
