SQUADRON DEVELOPMENT
COMMITTEE
Mission
To support USPS Members, Squadrons, and or Districts
in the development of new squadrons.
To provide support and help for Squadrons at Risk.
The Team
Our team is composed of members who believe in the growth and health of USPS, and feel that the Squadron Development Committee can make a real difference.
Each of our members serves a specific district. Many of our members work with more than one district. We work with the District Squadron Development Committee, the District Officers, individual squadrons and members.
Our services include helping to develop and charter provisional squadrons, and assisting troubled squadrons. Please be aware that a troubled squadron doesn’t mean that the squadron is a disaster ready to disband. Certainly, there are squadrons who fit that description. Troubled squadrons can also be the ones who have had trouble recruiting new members, or have had a recent decline in membership, or feel out of touch with their local boating community.
Since the beginning of the Squadron Development Committee, our team has aided 31 squadrons in becoming chartered through the Provisional Squadron Approach. We have also assisted many others squadrons in returning to their former, active, viable status.
Whether it is a district, squadron or committee that needs assistance, we can help. Give us a call.
Thirty one squadrons have been charted since this program started in January 2000 bringing in many new members into USPS. These squadrons are very enthusiastic and are a great asset to USPS.
We are looking for new members for this committee. If interested please contact our committee.
