Does it need to be a real chart? How about running off copies of the
practice chart in the Boating Course manual?

You can also download and print unofficial copies of charts from NOAA.

Subject: [Coch] Charts for Local School

Hi everyone:

Since this is chart-related, I thought I'd give the Coch list a try.
It's been pretty quiet lately.

We recently were asked for help from a local Math teacher in Salem, MA
who wanted to obtain 40 copies of a local chart as part of a class
exercise in teaching some practical math to his students. He thought
the Power Squadron might have some that we used for our instruction.

The price had to be right and they had to be in color. Charts 13276 or
13275 would have been perfect, but they agreed that 1210TR would also be
ok and at $2 each they were affordable We were going to order the 1210s
through national, but they are currently out of stock and don't know
when the backorder will be filled. The charts are needed this month.

Can anyone help us out here with extra 1210s or have some other ideas or
contacts with NOS that might be able to help us with this request.

Thanks.

Regards,

Brian Schanning, AP
Commander
Marblehead Sail & Power Squadron
