[Coch] ccweb upgrade and demo/trainning

Good morning All,

A upgrade to ccweb is currently being tested which will be placed in service
for the 2006-2007 Co Ch year.

NOTE!!!    Ccweb will be unavailable for input from midnight EST 31 March
2006 untill mid April 2006 for upgrade and database cleanup.    Results of
the 2005-2006 year will be available as soon as they can be verified, a few
days after the CoCh year end.

The upgrade includes numerous long awaited changes to improve ease of use
and eliminate some
features no longer needed.

The comments that were received via ccweb and emails were evaluated and,
where
practical, changes suggested by these comments were included.  Almost all of
the administrativre task once handed by NOAA will now be handled by USPS.
The page layout has been modified to simplify entry and to eliminate
redundant information.

There will be a trainning/demo session held at the Orlando meeting.  It will
be Thursday 5 Jan 2006  0900-1200 in Salon 5.  The plan is to have  multiple
pcs set up to allow some demo and hands on time.  It had been our intention
to have the full afternoon of Thursday to do this but the space was not
available thus the shortned block of time. This is being sent as early as I
could do it and feel reasonably sure that the times and location would hold.
However, there still exist the potential for change.  Watch for signs near
the registration desk in the lobby.

In addition  we paln to have two pcs setup at EXPO all day Friday to
demo and answer question about the upgraded system.

Geodetic reporting for credit will also change begining 1 April 2006.  That
system will be available at the trainning session and EXPO.
