Hey guys (and gals)
We are a little behind this year in the number of reports submitted to date.
Remember, we do not have to wait three or five years to submit geodetic
marker reports. We can report them again after 12 months if they are found in
good condition. We should not report poor, destroyed or not found markers if
the status is unchanged from the previous report, but we should report them
immediately if the status has changed.
Likewise, we no longer submit Landmark Stations like towers and steeples and
lighthouses as a geodetic report. However, if these items represent a
change to nautical charts or the Coast Pilot, they should be reported as such.
