NEWS YOU CAN USE!!
April the 15th is fast approaching, and we all know what that means dont we? Wrong, its not just the tax deadline it the day CC Web goes back on-line, its the start of a new Cooperative Charting year, and with the new year there are some things that are new and different, first of all, when reporting ATONs as a Nautical item the United States Coast Guard Light List Number for that ATON will be required. The Light list can be down loaded from the following URL:
http://www.navcen.uscg.gov/pubs/LightLists/LightLists.htm
The light list is a multi volume file like the Coast pilot but you can find the area you are interested in, down load that part and save or print it for future reference.
The next thing that is different is the link on CC Web to Maptech maps has been changed; there is a link that will take you to NOAAs charts with the necessary reader.
The following members have achieved 15, 20 and 25 years on the Cooperative Charting National honor Roll during the 2007 2008 Cooperative Charting year.
