A call resolved the problem, but I
think ISPs are getting a little cavalier in the way they block messages
since most of the blocks seem to be without just cause.
This is not my first case of blocked email. I also became aware of email
from the USPS server for amateur radio net, port captains, and cruise and
rendezvous online registrations were being blocked by AOL. I called them and they
said there was nothing that they could do about it as the source had been
reported as spam by other AOL members. Very interesting, because I am the only AOL
member on the list that the registrations are sent to and I certainly did not
report it as spam. I had to switch the registration email to my cox.net
address to solve the problem.
I have my AOL auto spam filter shut off and the Norton Internet Security spam
filter set to the minimum. Sure I get more spam that way, but I can deal
with it.
