[Comphelp] Mailman maillist vs. virus problems

I have the problem in spades. With four different squadron Mailman lists I
get anywhere from 5 to 30 per day on each individual lists. There should be
a way to just reject anything from non list members on receipt so the
administrator didn't clear them every day. Unfortunately I have found no way
to accomplish that and it's getting to be a real pain.

Subject: [Comphelp] Mailman maillist vs. virus problems

I have just set up several maillist using ver 2.1.5 of the Mailman maillist
program.
These are all on a private server but service D20.

Since setting up the list I am receiving 10+ virus files a day. The From:
indicates that they are coming in from members mail servers. Generally it
is the MyDoom or Sober virus. Yahoo mail detects them, but .... I am
wondering what gives. Does anyone else have this problem?

Second issue: I have blocked all attachments. However, .txt and
.pif still get thru.
For some reason these two attachments appear to defy blocking and they are
the major virus carriers.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

thanks
