This is a cross-post from the website_help, but I thought posting it here
in addition would help to get the word out.

I was at a District party a couple of weeks ago and mentioned all the
changes that I had placed on the web site.
A couple days later I got an e-mail asking why there was so much obsolete
material on the home page.
I couldn't believe what I was reading. I gave them a call and during the
conversation they asked why the District newspaper from Fall 2003 was still
a headline item.

You could have knocked me over.
I had them refresh the page. No change!
I had them press F5 (same as refresh). No change!
Finally I remembered an old trick to over-ride the browsers setting and had
them press CTRL+F5.
Wah lah!! the new page appeared.

Digging around in the browser's setting we found that the
Internet Options... | General | Settings... was set to Never.

We also found 31MB of Internet Tempfiles and Cookies which we cleaned.

I then called 3 others that I had heard grumbling at the party and found
similar problems.

The big problem still lay ahead. How could I reach all those I didn't know
about?
I wrote a HELP file and placed a link in the top corner of the home page
and thought my job was done until I realized that those who needed the
information would need that information would be the same ones who never
see the HELP link.

I decided to try the District mail list that I set up a month ago. I seeded
the list with all names in the District roster who had e-mail addresses.
Hope fully I would hit 1/3 of the members and they would read the message.
I placed a catchy subject on the e-mail and a direct link the help files
asking then to pay particular attention to the first item.

The direct link the HELP files is uspsd20.org/help

I have tried to keep the topics direct and non-techy, but would appreciate
any comments, corrections or additions you would find helpful.
