This is for all AOL customers on PSML. I send it on these lists because
virtually all AOL customers been removed from PSML, and hope you might see
it here.
Explanation:
Over the past week or two, AOL has been rejecting all messages sent from the
USPS servers. Direct contact between R/C Ed Duda and AOL personnel, and some
changed procedures on the server, have resolved this problem and AOL
customers should once
again be receiving mail from USPS addresses. However, Mailman, our automated
e-mail list server is programmed to remove subscriptions after a certain
number of bounces. Traffic on PSML is large, and the number of bounce
notices over the last several weeks, has been sufficient to remove nearly
all AOL subscribers to PSML.
The subscription list for psml is suddenly short by about 100 members, with
few AOL addresses remaining. If you are an AOL customer, and were subscribed
to psml, there is a high probability that you need to resubscribe at
http://www.usps.org/mailman/listinfo . If you are told that you are already
subscribed, great; you cannot subscribe the same address twice.
If you know USPS members who are on AOL, and might have been dropped from
PSML, please pass this message along.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
