I am having a problem with the USB port locking. My OS is XP SP2 but 
the problem doesn't seem limited to XP. At a conference this weekend, 
I found several other members were having the same problem. The 
problem appears to be driver related because it effects several 
devices. (PPT Projectors. mice, and external storage devices.)

Their solution is to reboot. I've found that unplugging and 
reinserting the USB cable will unlock the port for a while.

One member stated that they had installed a generic USB 2.0 driver to 
cure the problem, but couldn't remember any other details.

Are any of you having similar problems? Found any solutions?
