District Commanders,

Summary

It is our hope that you will continue to help our effort to secure more
responses to the National Planning Committee online survey. We are
approaching a 5% return rate (of the entire USPS membership) with over 1600
members represented. Though this is a great response, we would like to hear
from more members and from a greater number of members in each district. In
at least three districts, fewer than seven responses have been recorded;
this level of response from any one district creates gray areas with regard
to analysis that require we moderate our conclusions with the knowledge that
an adequate representation of member desires will not have been heard.

Our members are our customers; their input is very important to all of us.
This input is used to find ways to keep existing members and to attract new
members. Input from past surveys has led to the current emphasis of
"hands-on" and "on-water training" as well as the wide variety of seminar
topics. The information from the online survey has already produced a
variety of ideas we can explore, but we would like to see more! This is our
final request asking for your help!

Action

We hope you can do two things in support of our effort:

1. Please make arrangements to set up a laptop computer with an
Internet connection at your spring conference and encourage all attendees
who have done so previously to take the survey.perhaps at the "registration
table." As you most likely know, one click on the below link, which can be
set up in a browser for easy repeated activation, and the survey
automatically starts. It will take your members no longer than a few
minutes to complete. Consider assigning this "Spring Conference" project to
your District Planning Committee. The direct link is as follows: USPS

2. Please, if you haven't done so already, or if your commanders have
not responded accordingly, send the attached invitation to participate in
the survey to each squadron commander as soon as possible urging them to in
turn distribute it by email to their members. This is easy! The attached
document contains the invitation to participate in the survey with the
online "link" on which members can "click" embedded in the invitation. Just
"Forward" the invitation to your squadron commanders and in your comments,
specifically ask them to "Forward" it to as many squadron members as
possible.

***Just a reminder, the goal is to get as many members as possible to take
the survey!

This survey will end when the Spring Conference season is over. With your
help we hope to see a large increase in the number of responses from your
district.

The National Planning Committee thanks you in advance for your help in this
and all matters. And, as always, please send any comments or suggestions to
us by sending your message to d-plan-net at usps.org.

Regards,
