regards at all levels of leadership</span> in the USPS and yours is a very
significant “waypoint” in the right direction. Let’s not
forget that <span style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>a squadron in
distress or “survival mode”</span> as I prefer to call it, <span
style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>may not be interested in</span> <span
style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>competing</span> for recognition
<span style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>since they have a more
urgent situation at hand</span>. In terms of priorities, <span
style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>reporting, may be the last in a
commander’s mind when his squadron is at risk</span>. <span
style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>Making his/her job EASIER and
FUN</span> could motivate this leader more than the “after the
fact” recognition. As <span style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>a
guideline, and monitoring tool</span>, The Bowsprit or any other administrative
resources (software) could do it as long as it is <span style='background:yellow;
mso-highlight:yellow'>easy to implement and follow</span> by the very busy
squadron commanders. <span style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>Recognitions</span>,
although <span style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>indispensable and
valuable</span> for the history of our organization, <span style='background:
yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>tend to be short lived in the mind of the
recipients</span> and <span style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>cannot
be relied upon for present and future performance of the squadrons</span>.<o:p></o:p></p>
